There are few records of Sages in Perth before 1789,
It is recorded that a family of Anti Burgers from Auldearn Nairn, travelled to Perth before 1790. This is the result.


These names appear in the Sage line in the 1800's. Then many off the people who lived in Auldearn were of the Seceding Church's, not Church of Scotland and were described by the CofS minister as "of a dark and gloomy faith" even the CofS congregation would travel miles to hear a Puritanical Minister. This is consistent with the known faith of the Perth Sages.
