Served in the 6th Perthshire Battalion Black Watch in 1915, believe he in fact was also in the Boer War 1899-1902. Since he seems to have joined as a Lance Corporal this may support this. Also date of marriage suits this.
According to his Medal Card he served in France from 2-5-1915 and was discharged on 5-2-1919, he had the normal war medals, Victory and war Star.
