Parish of Petty.

Some information about the Parish of Pettie, both spellings are correct at various times.

The Stewart's originated in Aberlour a few miles outside the Parish.
The McIntosh line started here and probably lived here for a long time before this as the Clan McIntosh owned lands in the Parish and about. By a circuitous route the two families married in Perth.
The Sages in Perth who also joined in the marriage festival also originated in this Parish. Of the major Families in the Family Tree only the Ritchies did not live about here.
