Ann was the Mother of William Mc Kerron Stewart born 17 March 1865 who eventually gets to Perth and is the real subject of this Tale.
Ann had been very deaf since six years old.
On 17 March 1865 Ann had a child William . The father was James Stewart who is named on his Wedding Certificate, William takes that name and is called Stewart from a early age. Before 1871.
Another child Alexander Gordon 4 Nov 1870 between Ann and George Gordon was created. This child appears later, 1881, at his Grand Mothers house in the Cabrach, see him for notes.
In the 1871 census (March 1871) Ann is at home alone with no children staying with her father, unmarried, at Knockside Farm House.
Ann seems to have given the children to the fathers to care for them. She is not recorded with them at all.
On 8 May 1874 Ann marries James Benzie in Aberdeen, she works as a Milliner. They have two daughters Maggie and Jessie.
James Benzie died in 1878.
In 1881 census Ann is shown as Ann Benzie, age 32 (6 years younger) she works as a Dressmaker and Maggie (6) and Jessie (4) live with her.
Ann lives in Aberdeen until after 1901, Maggie was with her then.
