˛John

This is John Boyd Ritchie in 1924 when he would be 23. At this time he would have finished his Apprenticeship and was staying in Dalmuir so the location is wide open. So far Inshuig is unknown no place of this name, could be a House where they holiday'd. Have not found a Ellens Walk but in the Trossachs in Loch Katrine is Ellens Isle with a woodland walk beside the Loch, this may be a Red Herring. The Photographer could be Helen McIntosh who he married 12 months later.

The gents at the rear are Dad and James McKechnie, then it would be Joan and Granny front row Helen Ritchie and Joan McKechnie then Williams Dog Flora, Mum peaking round with William jnr at end. Helen is holding a light brown kitten called Topsy, and it seems to be a black kitten on Joan's knee, probably accounts for the dogs fixed stare and possibly even Mums position. Since someone took the picture then Jessie McKechnie is probable.
Date of 4 Aug 1935 written on back.

˛Mum

Taken at the front of Scone house, Mum, John, George and Kirsty. Date is probably 1941.

˛Gran.˛

This is a Visit to a home in Menteith area. The picture was probably taken in 1932. The only ones that can be identified are, Granny Ritchie, Dad Ritchie, Helen and Will. Other children are not known they appear to be under 20 in age with the youngest girl possibly seven or eight. Certainly older than Helen who was 6 years old.
The older girl could be any age from teens to twenty. The others could be fitted in as Boy with Mug 1914 age 18, older girl 1916 age 16, boy behind Will 1919 age 13 and Cheeky Girl 1920 age 12. This would leave room for further children, not present, between 1904 and 1912, but this is a large family.
The date before June 1933 as Dad would have been remarried, so probably 1932. This makes Will age Four and Helen Six.

˛Five.˛

This appears to have been taken in the same place as the above shot. If so we have , Granny, and Will and Helen. The presence of the Girl with specs and the two girls in white would indicate that they all are closely related to Granny. The persons maybe selected as the closest, perhaps a Auntie/ Granchildren relationship through the Ritchie/Ferguson/Blair/Urquart side. If this is so then why is a Boy not included?
