THE DEBEN RANGE of Windows.

This range comprises of side hung casement windows, with lipped sashes and rebated meeting sties in order to keep the timber sections as slim as possible. It has a single horizontal glazing bar to give two panes per casement, and all the sections are to a traditional ovolo mould. We can also produce these windows with four or six panes per casement, and with glass rebates to take single or double glazing. If your requirement is for the very traditional inset sashes with mullions these can be supplied. Although the JSR Deben windows were introduced for restoration and rehabilitation work, they will also enhance new buildings.

Horizontal sliding or Yorkshire sliding windows-a type of window that was often used in East Anglia and developed in the mid eighteenth century, we supply a number of these each year, and as they are all purpose made they can be made to any size and any number of panes per sash.

All our softwood windows are preserved to NHBC requirements. The finished windows are then spray primed if required or they can be left 'in the white' for staining. Under new building regulations trickle vents are required in certain windows, these can be fitted to any of the windows.

All our windows come with fasteners and stays fitted, these can vary from the traditional black iron monkeytail to solid brass fittings. There are many types of fittings on the market including lockable fasteners and separate sash locks, all these can be incorporated in your windows if required.

We have incorporated the best features of traditional window patterns while meeting modern requirements of high comfort, quality and durability. Deben windows are available in a wide range of standard sizes and opening light configurations but we can also supply them in any width or height required at no extra cost.

Vertical sliding double hung sash windows-first invented in the second half of the seventeenth century, these can be supplied with the sashes hung on the traditional boxed weights or on spiral balances, either way the windows will be made to appear as if they are traditional boxed sash windows.

As with the side hung windows customers can choose to have as many panes per sash as they like, with glass rebates to take either single or double glazing.

We can produce any style of window from Scandinavian modern to Victorian Gothic arched head to Tudor Cottage Georgian sliding sash windows. The proportions of a window are very important and our design department will be pleased to advise on suitable designs and choice of timber. We prepare full itemised estimates and if these are accepted we will produce working drawings for council approval where needed.
