Reflexology in York

Treatment and charges
The initial session will begin with a preliminary talk to determine your past and present health and lifestyle. You will then be seated on a comfortable chair and asked to remove your shoes and socks. Your legs will be supported, and covered, and your feet cleaned with wipes. A small amount of talcum powder is then applied to the feet to aid the treatment. The feet are gently massaged to relax them, followed by firmer pressure using the pads of the thumbs and fingers. Because firm pressure is used it is very unusual for the feet to feel ticklish. Occasionally some tenderness may be felt, indicating that there is an imbalance in the corresponding part of the body. It is important to tell me when this happens so that I can adjust the pressure accordingly. As a professionally trained reflexologist, I can detect subtle changes in specific points on the feet, and by working on these points, may affect the corresponding organ or system of the body. The sensitivity of the feet varies from one person to another, and I will adjust the pressure, to ensure that you are comfortable at all times. A treatment session will normally last between 45 minutes and one hour. At the end of the session a client will usually feel very relaxed, and sometimes very energetic. The number of treatment sessions will vary depending on the condition being treated and the body's needs, but the benefits are normally felt after one or two treatments. Charges - home visit Initial consultation - £30 ( usually 90 minutes) Treatment session - £25 (45 - 60 minutes) Charges are for treatment within the York area.
