The team hoped to improve on the runners-up position achieved for the last 3 seasons to seek promotion, but Middlesex and Kent

teams were far too strong. Harry Jutle was the only one to stop Middlesex and Steve Brown to stop Kent. The team had a poor game

against Somerset, having got the tactics wrong at Bromyard. Harry started the season strongly, but finished poorly with an average

of 50%. Steve Brown in his first season had a slow start, but finished strongly to also achieve 50%. Steve Knight also in his first season

had a reasonable run to achieve 40.0 %. With departure of Carol Milnes, Lin Ashman stepped in. Lin's lack of play showed in the

early matches, but was unlucky not to win her last singles which went all the way in the 5th set. She performed well in the mixed doubles

to achieve 33.3%. Thanks go to Sue Segust who stepped in to play the match against Somerset and performed well. Brian Kitchener put

in a good performance when playing up. The Men's doubles success was also good at 50%. The team finished 4th with 5 points.
