A message was posted by Ian Morris asking about the above WWI armed merchant cruiser. He was making enquiries about this ship with regard to his grandfather, William Gardiner, who served on this ship and along with other mates, was held at a prisoner of war camp in Norway.

Unfortunately he did not leave an e-mail address. If you are reading this or if anyone know this person, can you get them to write to me. I also had a grandfather who served on this ship. I would be interested in swapping notes.

Regards, John.

Norrie,

I am glad you have made contact, I am sure Ian Morris was very grateful to you for posting the message on his behalf. If you could contact through my e-mail address (wagons.east@virgin.net) I would appreciate it.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards, John.
