September 2008
MEETING
Death and Dying: A Talk by Paul Sandford
For the September moot, we are happy to Paul Sandford to give a talk on Pagan Death and Dying. This
will be on Thursday 25 September 2008, 7.30–9.30pm, at the
Newton Price Centre in Stanley Road, Watford, entrance fee
£3, or £1 for Season-ticket holders.
Paul has visited us before to give his very enjoyable and lively
sessions on Druid Shamanism. and on the Northern Tradition (Norse). On
his last visit, he mentioned towards the end of his session that he is
an Interfaith priest, and he spoke about Pagan funerals. This was so
interesting, that we have invited him back to tell us more. Though this
may seem a strange subject, Paul's engaging
style of presentation is sure to make it fascinating rather than
morbid, and of course, in the end, this is a matter that we all need to
consider, for the way we leave this life is as at least important as
the way we enter it.
Once again, everyone is welcome, so please come along, and bring your
friends!
