back to Greenhouse A greenhouse opens up a whole new gardening
world, enabling you to grow, protect and revive a vast range of plants.
The protected environment that a
greenhouse provides will extend the growing season right around the calendar,
allowing you to raise young plants at any time of year - even midwinter. You'll
be able to grow vegetables before the ground is ready outdoors, coax tender
seedlings into early growth, over-winter cuttings and plants, and create
attractive floral displays. You may even want to experiment with specialist
plants such as orchids!
Greenhouses also make good
plant 'hospitals' where you can revive ailing house plants that have suffered
from too much central heating or too little natural light.
Before your start... SAFETY FIRST Strong gloves will protect your
hands from splinters. Take care when handling wood preservatives - always
follow manufacturer's advice on safety. |
