As with any DIY work, safety
should be given top priority.
• With paperhanging and stripping,
be sure to consider the following:
• Always make sure the
electricity supply is off and the fuse removed when hanging paper around items
like lights, switches, or power sockets.
• Keep the work area
tidy. Discarded offcuts of pasted paper are very slippery
underfoot.
• Take care with trimming knives. They are
extremely sharp.
• Keep children and pets away from the work
area. Many wallpaper adhesives contain fungicide.
• Be sure
to double check the safety and condition of any working platform. Make
sure that it can not move or give way.
