Stewart Coachbuilders

Stewart the Coachbuilder of Kirk Rd. is still in business today, however as with all other industries associated with Wishaw they to have moved from their original locale. Stewart's now operates from the once great Smiths clock factory on Smith Avenue, Gowkthrapple. These new premises were custom built within the old shell of the clock works. Today passersby can see all kinds of custom builds being undertaken by Stewarts, their huge rear yard is always full of all kinds of H.G.V's awaiting their new bodies. Stewarts original premises on Kirk Rd. have went the same way as Belhaven, and McKay and Jardine.....Safeway now own the land and have built a supermarket!!!!!.
