The Zodiac Magical Society was formed early in 1946 by Dick Chavel and Napier Bye and was considered to be a fully fledged society in May 1946 with about a dozen members. Today we have a membership of around 100 consisting of full time professional entertainers, semi-pros and, of course, a large number of members for whom magic is just a very pleasant and absorbing hobby.

The Society has helped raise many thousands of pounds for charities and other good causes and often visits old peoples homes and clubs for the disabled.

Our monthly magazine, ‘THE ZODIAC’, has been going for over 40 years of continuous publication. Until recent times it was, rather amazingly, under the sole direction of just one person, our President Emeritus the late Freddie Firth.

We meet each Wednesday in Ealing, London, UK and are very proud of our reputation in the magic world as one of the most active and friendliest magic clubs in the country.
