"Objection!" - the new board-game from Kent company Westgate Games of Broadstairs - is a must for all English Criminal Law lovers. Play Barrister in one of many randomly selected cases of villainy and mayhem, all based on real-life cases from English Crown courts.Defend or prosecute, or be the Learned Trial-judge and boss everybody, pick and choose your evidence from the 'Exhibits Box'. Extract 'Yes', 'No' or 'Not Sure' answers to your questions to witnesses, decided by dice-roll. Risk it, and take a card from the 'Chance' pile to see if you can successfully object to an opponent's line of questioning, or raise a point of law to thwart the other side's attack - be careful some of the cards contain damning retractions, overulings and admissions which will not help you at all!
Altogether a great pastime for 'Kavanagh' fans and the like.
Also from Westgate: 'Flak!', where you are a PR officer spinning a particularly nasty media event: could be a corrupt government minister, a carcinogenic foodstuff or an inept surgeon - great stuff! Look out for more up-to-the-minute adult games from this company. Sure to be popular in those long, dark evenings if the Millenium Bug causes as many power brown-outs as the Miner's Strike.
