' Botanical Forms ' - Following requests from clients and visitors to my recent exhibition at the Portico Gallery to undertake commissions for studies from plants. I am continuing to develop new images that derive their source from direct observational drawings and studies taken from plants.
These paintings are an extension of my pre-occupation with colour and surface texture using mixed-media Arcylics. I explore their intricate textures, rhythms and diversity of form in my own interpretive paintings of botanical and other natural sources.
