FAQs

How were they developed?  - in RYA theory classes, where it became obvious that students need a clear
and concise summary of each subject area, ideally on one page.

This particularly applies to Colregs lights and shapes, Chartwork, Weather, VHF and CEVNI.

It was a short step to realise that they were equally useful at sea, in the cockpit of the boat. Whether you are a
sea school, leisure sailor or motor boater, the cards are invaluable.

Divers too especially find them useful, they are ideal for use in RIBs and dive boats.

Users have made suggestions for improvement which have been incorporated in new versions - all suggestions are very welcome.

Where can I use them? - in the classroom, and on your boat. The charts are fully waterproof, encapsulated in 250 micron,
scratch resistant polyester laminate. The printing inks are long life and light fast to avoid fading.  They are very durable for
use at sea, in the rain, and passing round to your crew or students - even if they end up on the cockpit floor!

Who uses them? - They are in use by  RYA Sea Schools, RYA Theory classes, ferries, BSAC Schools and Dive boats, RNLI
Lifeboat crews, Sea Cadets, Sea Scouts. National Coastwatch, Australian Coast Guard - and on superyachts!

In conjunction with the Colregs and Weather on line tests on our website they are the ideal training and reference aid.
