Leisure Division

Nicholas George Associates offers professional services to owners, prospective owners and insurers of yachts, small craft, work boats and similar. Surveys are available for wood, GRP, steel, ferrocement and aluminium constructions and  range from full and part condition, to damage and insurance.  We will happily undertake external surveys of the hull; repair, refit and rebuild supervision, and also offer full design and consultancy services. NGA is currently the surveyor of record for a newbuilding here in Cumbria, a 35 ft. Ivy class gaff cutter designed by Ed Burnett, constructed of wood  and utilising West System epoxy resins throughout.

The Company provides full marina and mooring services ranging from pontoon positioning and anchoring arrangements, current and tidal stream evaluations, damage/loss studies, damage surveys, through to full marina management services. We also offer studies on the environmental impact of such projects and to the laying out of conventional mooring systems.

Nicholas George Associates carries  full professional indemnity insurance, public liability insurance and is on the list  of preferred surveyors for many companies offering small craft insurance. The principal of the Company also enjoys membership of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects
All reports are presented Company stamped in original and single copy format, further copies may be made available upon request.
