Nicholas George Associates provides services to Shipowners, Protection and Indemnity Clubs and cargo interests. Such services incorporate full vessel condition surveys for purchaser and club entry, vessel damage and cargo damage surveys plus a full range of services to marine and cargo handling legal and insurance disciplines.

We are specialists in both dry and reefer containers, general and refrigerated cargoes, grain and feedstuffs, heavy lifts and other non-standard cargoes. We will not, however, comment directly on liquid cargoes other than in a catastrophe situation or where marine pollution is involved.

The Company has considerable experience in carrying out draft and displacement surveys, Vehicle surveys, on and off hire surveys, cargo load out and tie down surveys plus towage approval for vessels and barges.

Expert advice and services are available to solicitors and accountants for all aspects of vessel damage from collision through to foundering, from small cargo damage through to total loss situations involving salvage, disposal and pollution investigations. We have also acted, on behalf of major clients,  in personnel cases involving loss of earnings disputes and similar.
