April 2006 Uploaded a few pictures to the gallery. Some of Michael and Grant playing the machines and a couple of myself and Susan working hard on the production line!
February 2006 I now have a show room for the machines - OK more of a show shed - but it serves its purpose. Visitors welcome by prior arrangement.
3rd October 2004 Spent today transferring the old site to the new template.
30th September 2004 Got the proof of my professionally designed web site today.  Pretty pleased with the design and will probably go ahead with this with few, if any, alterations.  It will then be used as a template and my existing data moved over to the new format.  Will plan to use this design as the basis for the banner/marquee work for the machines.
29th September 2004 A couple of pieces of news to report.  Firstly I have a new corporate logo - or more accurately a choice of two.

These arrived courtesy of the start a business programme I have participated in.  I think I will go for the second option for the time being as it is more professional looking and has fewer colours and should keep printing costs down.  I still like the first one though and might use it for branding leaflets or any future vehicles.

Second piece of news was the arrival of a package won from EBay over 3 weeks ago.  The guy didn't post this until 3 weeks after I paid for it using PayPal!  Anyway I now have the board for 1943 that allows two simultaneous players to co-operate on screen.  I haven't had this in a two player cabinet yet so I'm not sure what it will look like when in table/upright modes.  This will find its way into a bar table version once I have the prototype sorted.

Also included in this package was a Konami 4 player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) board.  This is the second one of these boards I have managed to get my hands on.  The first came with my 4 player TMNT cabinet and is great for parties.  The only thing missing from my original cabinet was a marquee.  Thanks to Bob Roberts a while back I managed to order one - and he sent two!  I plan to use this latest TMNT board to combine a few of my new product ideas:-

  • A supergun for RGB capable SCART TV's.
  • 2-4 player control panels.
  • Full size marquee ‘light box’.

If everything goes to plan I should be able to produce a 4 player control panel with supergun built in and a nice back lit TMNT marquee to illuminate the action/control panel.  Watch this space!  Anyone willing to give me a starting price for the finished article?

Placed a major order with one of my suppliers today.  Have ordered a couple of coin mechanisms to try out with the JAMMA machines.  There have been a couple of requests for these  - one for the 1942 machine mentioned below.  I'll include photos when they arrive.

Updated the site.  Added a couple of photos to the galley page.  One of a green vertical jamma machine using a 1984 Capcom 1942 board with an adapter.  Another of a red JAMMA machine running a NeoGeo  motherboard.  It's running a Top Players Golf  cart at the moment but I though a picture of the SNK screen would give the viewer more info.

Added this new section to the site.  WIll attempt to keep it up to date with news and updates on  the product line.
    21st September 2004
Got 1942 in the post today.  Very well packaged - a professional service indeed.  But what's this - no JAMMA adapter?  Scramble to original EBay listing hoping he has just forgotten to put it in the box.  No luck - says “You will need a JAMMA adapter for this board”.  Into the garage for the soldering iron, edge connector, JAMMA edge board, and wire.  Downloaded correct pin outs from KLOV opened a can of diet cola put the TV on channel 4 and started work.  Half an hour later and after triple checking all of the connections I plugged it all in and it worked first time!  It was upside down but the dip switch setting soon sorted that small detail out.  It's amazing how much more enjoyment you get out of a game when you've had to earn the right to play it.  Played the game far too late, left +ve feedback on EBay and went to bed satisfied in the knowledge that I can now make Capcom/JAMMA loom adapters.

This game was a request from my brother who remembers playing the game a lot when working in Canada He wants it made into a bar top machine and can remember playing it in what I think was a co-operative mode with a friend.  Now correct me if I'm wrong but according to KLOV there is no co-operative mode for 1942 - the original cabinet only has one set of controls.  I note however that 1943 does have a maximum of two simultaneous players so perhaps he was confused?  (The game was in a bar after all...)  Luckily for him I have 1943 currently winging its way (if you'll excuse the pun) to me as I write.  This could lead to a setup with two sets of controls on one side of a bar top machine.  I think 1942 has a cocktail mode but I'm not sure if/how co-operative mode would work if the screen flipped between players.  (My understanding is that all cocktail mode means is that the screen flips between players turns)  Anyway all will become clear when the 1943 board arrives.
