Born in 1952. Studied at Leicester Polytechnic and received a Diploma in Architecture with Distinction in 1977.
He became an Architect in 1978.

Ken joined Foster Associates in 1974 whilst still a student. After an architectural study tour of USA and Canada he returned to Foster Associates in 1977.

Ken was appointed a Director of Foster and Partners in 1984 and worked in Hong Kong on the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Headquarters where he was responsible for all aspects of the design. In 1986 he returned from Hong Kong and was made a Partner in 1991.

In 1994 he received an Honorary Doctorate from De Montfort University.

Ken is a member of the Editorial Board of Building Magazine.
