The project to install back pumping schemes to overcome water shortages, requires the construction of a pumping station at Lock 1 where the canal meets the River Wey and Lock 7on the St Johns Flight. The increased water flows have caused the existing bywash channels to fail. Our primary tasks will be to excavate the existing works. ascertain what needs to be done and tio omplement the repairs, all of which which will provide ample areas for volunteers to tackle a variety of tasks. No previous experience is necessary as we have our own registered instructors.
