 This module is available for those who have passed English for Study 2 or equivalent

This module provides a foundation in oral, written and interpersonal skills for communicating in business. Students will practise the use of language in business seminars and learn how to take an active part in discussions on business topics by using skills to help listen and respond suitably.  Students will also be taught the principles of business correspondence and how to write effectively in business situations.  Emphasis will also be placed on the importance of using the appropriate register in both written and spoken business communication.  Both written and oral skills are practised and developed through role plays and realistic business tasks.
