Concentric

The concentric rows of canes on the blue base are of mixed brightness but nevertheless the effect is still fairly pleasing. The overall look of this weight is visually very similar to the concentric ashtray shown within this article - in fact both pieces use some identical canes.

The group of four central pale-blue canes with pale-yellow centres contrasts well with the surrounding row of deep yellow canes with their striking white centres. The row of white-and-orange canes with the grey quatrefoil motif is perhaps a little overpowering, particularly when placed within a row of quite dull orange-and-grey canes.

There is some light scratching to the top of the dome but the general lack of sharpness around the edges is caused by aberrations (wreathing) within the glass.
