Hmm ... looks like it could be a Strathearn. A single row of dark canes surrounds a group of four green and white star canes. A "2-3" pattern is formed by the 6 thin yellow and orange twists. Green ground. |

Oh, look - A "Pirelli Glass" label. So, does this help with attribution? No, not really! George Dunlop of Pirelli Glass is known to have helped Vincent Ysart with the continuation of the Vasart works after Salvador Ysart died. But it is believed that the Pirelli company may well have marketed earlier Vasart items under the Pirelli label and there may also have been a connection into the early years of Strathearn. Whatever the facts are about the Pirelli company involvement, this weight, by visual features alone is still difficult to attribute. Maybe the use of dark canes with pink ones marks it as Strathearn? But make a note of the structure of the dark canes - with the three-element inner section. That may be a good clue in future cane matching. |

Low dome but nice proportions. Note how all the canes stand well above the surface of the ground. I will also mention here that the "four-cane" grouping as a central motif figures regularly in my study of possible Salvador Ysart weights! |
