Weight Number 16

To this day, I still cannot make up my mind when this weight may have been made.

A single row of poorly formed canes surrounds a group of three star-centred canes.

A "1-2" pattern is formed by the 9 simplistic white twists.

Light blue ground.

Even in the top view, we can see that a Pirelli Glass label is applied.

Lots of bubbles at the surface of the canes.

All of the canes are relatively poor in their construction with elements seeming to merge into each other. But the multi-colour complex cane (red, yellow, grey, blue, white) adds some focus.

The outer canes, with the blue-flashed coating are similar to ones found in both Vasart and Strathearn production

The twists are formed from a simple four-ply white strand.

A high dome shape with many air bubbles in the dome.

The setting of the canes is quite even but there is a flattened profile to the ground.

From any view, the design looks blurred because of the poor quality of the canes.

But I like this weight, even with its defects! I just don't know which company it came from.
