Two rows of daisy-style canes surround a similar central pink cane. A "1-1" pattern is formed by the 11 yellow-green and light blue twists. Blue ground. This top view shows that there are lots of bubbles in the dome but from this view the bubbles almost appear to be part of the design. |

Here we can see the extent of the bubbling. The inner canes have a simplicity which reminds me of Vasart work. The outer canes have a structure and colour-flashing that appears in both Vasart and Strathearn items. The twists look as if they don't quite belong in this weight! Perhaps it is the yellow-green colour that makes me think this? Note that the outer edge of the twists and canes has an anti-clockwise movement. |

A good shape to the dome but spoiled somewhat by the bubbling. The ground is quite high-domed and the canes all sit above the surface. So who made this weight? I am not convinced either way - I'll put it into the "transitional" group. |
