Par Beach

Hi Clem here I fished par for 2 hours each side of the tide. There was a light SW wind picking up some surf. The first 2-3 hours not a bite I was fishing to the left of the beach by the rocks. I moved to the middle of the beach and it went of big time, I had both rods on the go flat out. There was a nice size bass and about 5 schoolies 8 good sized dab 2 small Pollock and a nice little ling that really put a smile on my face as I have never caught a ling of a beach before. The night was fantastic I have never had such a good nights fishing on par beach I hope it stays that way for awhile.

I spent a miserable 7 hours fishing Crinis beach in St.austell bay in Cornwall. it was freezing nasty weather and all I got for the trouble apart from a pissed off wife was one dog. can some vicar please have a word with himself upstairs as I haven't seen fishing this bad in a long time. Happy Xmas all and better fishing in the new year.

I have just fished Blackpool Sands and with my two freinds and with great sucess!,we had 10 wrasse in total up to about 2.5lbs but nothing else exept a blenny,a scorpian fish and a pollack which i caught!

My freind lost a big fish at the end of the session and we think it was a bull huss as he was using a whole squid bait into the reef.

16 August 2002  Time:Day

Hi Again, We went back to Blackpool Sands today and again it did not dissapoint! As well as the Bream and Wrasse like our last visit, we also had some good Pollack and I caught a Fish I had never seen before, a Velvet Dogfish! It looked like a Doggie but was completly black with large black spots and velvet skin instead of the usual sandpaper skin.

Another excellent day out.

All the best

A great day out on a private beach, 4 quid to park all day and on site you have a Cafe, Shop and toilets. Fantastic.

REALLY GOOD MACKREL FISHING ON DEAD BAITS AT THE TOP OF THE TIDE IN ABOUT 6 FEET OF WATER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CARAVAN SITE. NO BASS AND ALSO DISCOVERED THAT EVEN A MAXIMUM CAST (140 YARDS) WAS NOT STAYING IN THE WATER FOR LONGER THAN TEN MINUTES ONCE THE TIDE STARTED TO EBB. WORSE THAN LOOE FOR BEING SHALLOW!

Happy fishing Clem

24 April 2002

Fished to the right of Seaton beach near the river, used peeler, lug and rag, first two hours of the flood not a lot happening just a couple of pout, 45 mins into the ebb bass started to feed ,had 4 school bass and one to 2 pound and a couple of dab. great nights fishing I will be going back soon.

Clem Boyle

13 April 2002

it's the first time I have fished this beach, and even though it was a quiet night,10 pout,2dogies,2dab,you could really see the potential of this beach, it has a fresh water river to the left of it, it shelves of at a fast rate so no long casting to get into deep water and it is a mix of sand and shale, this beach screams bass to me, better luck next time, I hope. all fish except doggies taken on lug. and dab taken at three hours after high water so a decent session was had last night, I also talked to a couple of locals they said bass and sea trout are taken from April to august on light tackle usually on fladen plugs spinning from the beach, bye till next time clem.

Whitsand Bay,  Cornwall

20 August 2003

Last light saw the arrival small flounder and a lost turbot!..as the tide made over a tranquil setting several bass upto 3 pound were landed and returned. All went quiet during the wee hours of the morning....but as the sun began to rise a small posse of seagulls caught our attention!....further to our investigation of this we discovered a shoal of mackeral chasing the whitebait! so we collectively donned our spinning entourage and hastily jaunted across the golden sands to the boiling, bubbling swirling mass of potential catch.Disappointingly we only managed to lure three dozen of the athletes of the ocean to our tackle.....this undisclosed mark maybe found to east side of the main beach...tight lines everybody!!!   Gary and Phil
