(Tan y bwlch beach) Fished
low tide using sandeels and caught 1 red gurnard, soon as it got dark
mackerel piled in and i had about a dozen on feathers in the last 15 min
before dark No reports in last twelve months 19 October 2002 Fished North side of beach. Used mackerel strip and caught 11 Dogfish. Mackerel caught on spinning as Whitebait was in. A good night. Fished 1 hour up and 2 hours down. Still a bit early for the Whiting yet. It needs a good frost to bring them in. Conrad Slater

Time: 26 October 2002 Time: Day ABOUT 8 COD CAUGHT FROM 5LB TO 12LB, LOADS OF CONGER Bernard 22 October 2002 Foreshore Fishing this venue has turned up cod to 12lb. Last night it produced fish of 12,9,8,5lb in a single session using black lug and squid cocktail all were caught at a range of 120yds. A very good session indeed. hundred or so yards east of the peir, took couple of whiting (eating size) from
the beach on king rag, 1up and 1 down and paternoster. nothing of the prom. very
high tide. some small whiting off the peir next morning. 2 November 2002 Fished Old Colwyn 2up and 1down at night. Used mackerel strip and some squid. Lots of sport with whiting (good sizes for eating) and large dogfish. Action slows a bit after high tide. Conrad Slater
23 February 2001 45 whiting,7 codling,2 congers,5 flounder,2 plaice and a 4lb bass were the result of a day and night fishing session using mackerel and razor fish baits.Two hook flapper rig worked best with size 2/0 hooks and and 20lb main line. Freshwater

fishing at ogmore deeps, nice day, caught a few fish, but what a mess !
The place stinks. Smells like a toilet, covered in old bait wrappers,
plastic bags, bottles, cans, you name its there. Carried there and left
by anglers. 6 February 2004 Fished it up from low water to one hour after high tide, one dab, 3 whiting, 1 pout, bloke next to me had 2 small bass. All fish returned, baits used-Rag/lug tipped with squid or mack. paul leics 8 January 2004 Once

November 2003 30 December 2002 Fished the small island at the back of sully island as monkey pole was crowded. Caught 1 codling of 4lbs 1 hour after turn of tide on whole squid, blow lug & crab(big bait) also a few whiting.
