A heavily modified Core Galaxy Systems dreadnaught, Enforcer One belonged to Bogga the Hutt. It was the flagships of the Hutts fleet, and demonstrated to his enemies just how powerful he was. The dreadnaught allowed Bogga many victories, and he used the ships home port on Taboons moon as his palace. The ship was commanded by Captain Norufu.
Before it was decommissioned by the Republic, Enforcer One was used for planetary occupations. Its turbolasers would rip apart and defence fleets the planet had to offer, then the dreadnaught would enter the planets upper atmosphere; once there drop ships would be deployed with the invasion forces.
When the Republic had the ship decommissioned, Enforcer One was taken to the salvage yards on Ord Trasi and stripped down. It was shortly after this that Bogga got his slimy fingers on the ships. The Hutt recognised the power the ship had, even in its stripped-down state. The weapons and shields could still stand up to a pretty heavy battle.
The dreadnaughts weapons consisted of sixteen laser cannons, all mounted on turrets. This meant that they could quickly swivel to target small fighter craft, but they were fairly useless when fighting capital ships, since they were not all that powerful. When engaging capital ships, the dreadnaughts main weapon was brought into use: a fixed heavy turbolaser. This weapons power core and laser actuator had been equipped with an advanced cooling system, allowing it to be used for extended periods of time. Experimental galven circuitry had been added to the long laser barrel, giving the weapon a more tightly focused beam and an increased range. Captain Norufu often liked to let the enemy take a few shots at the Enforcer One, only to see their shots dissipate harmlessly against the dreadnaughts heavy shields. This, he believed, inspired terror in the enemy. Then the heavy turbolaser would be brought into play, and the enemy were usually no more.
As well as the weaponry, the dreadnaught was fitted with four tractor-beam projectors. Norufu like to use these to bring a ship into point-blank range of the heavy turbolaser, then watch in satisfaction as the ship blew into billions of pieces. When capturing a ship, Bogga had the dreadnaught use its pair of huge ship loading arms to bring the prey into the interior landing bay, which was almost three hundred metres long.
The ships crew was the usual sort of scum found tagging along with a Hutt. Norufu took care of the beings who handled the weapons, control, and navigation. A Weequay called Grimorg, who was Boggas chief enforcer, had to keep control of the crew hands and boarding troops. This as not exactly a fun job, since these groups were made up of Weequays, Klatoonians, Vordrans, and Nikto.
Fir extra defence, the dreadnaught carried six light tactical fighters. Since Boggas pilots did not receive much in the way of training, Bogga found that he was constantly replacing the fighters, and pilots. This hardly bothered the Hutt, as he saw the fighters as expendable. During one of the Hutts greatest victories, where he captured the pirate Finhead Stonebones ships, the worm lost one of the fighters and a pilot called Dreebo. Unlike many Hutts, Bogga was considered merciful, and had in fact earned the title the Merciful One. He showed why this was so by deciding not to charge Dreebos home clan for the destroyed fighter, and also to withhold the pilots service bonus.
What a nice little worm Bogga is, eh?
