Frances KNIBBS

1850-1935

This photograph was taken at about 1900 when Frances was 50 years old.
She was born in Feb 1850 at St George in the East, London, England, the oldest child of Henry Theodore Burt and his wife Agnes Ellen Baxter. Henry was the step-son of Frances Knibbs.

Frances married Robert East from Standon, Hertfordshire who we believe completed  a mechanical engineering degree course at Trinity College, Dublin.
He later worked on plans for the Mersey Railway tunnel between Birkenhead and Liverpool that started in 1879, and a project for a Humber bridge.
