Not 100% sure that he died in 1872, but the age and location would indicate that it is quite possibly him listed at FreeBMD

The marriage record shows that John married Sarah WARR. I understand that Sarah was previously married to a man named David Warr a twin. They had a son Joseph Warr who was for many years Hotel keeper of the Bull Public House, Well Street, Buckingham. He also owned at least three houses in Well Street, Buckingham - Numbesr 31, 32 and 33.
