Engineers And Scientists

An engineer, a scientist and a mathematician were travelling together on a train through the British Isles. Just as they passed over the border between England and Scotland, they saw a black sheep standing in a field.

"Oh look," the engineer said. "All sheep in Scotland are black."

"You cannot say that!" the scientist exclaimed. "You can only deduce that this particular sheep is black."

"You cannot say that!" the mathematician shook his head sadly. "You can only deduce that this side of that particular sheep is black."
