The tolls on the bridge across to the Isle of Skye have now been REMOVED! No more extortionate charges to cross what was possibly the most expensive stretch of roadway in the world! Come and visit us for free now (well free across the Bridge!!)

Christmas is coming but due to the wonderful Gulf Stream snow levels of late have been just about non existent here in Kyleakin
Work has begun on house plots up on Old Kyle Farm Road. All plots are already reserved and are selling for between £35 and £42,000. An extortionately high price for a small peaty bog of a site!
The field at the back of the village has being renovated to become the new football pitch.
Kyleakin Youth Group, The Voice of Kyleakin now have pages here on the website and will be doing their best to try and create facilities for the young people of Kyleakin. You know things are bad when we don't even have street corners to hang about on.

Due to the unfortunate death of the owner, the Skye Bridge Filling Station in the village is closed as a filling station but has now been re-opened as a Motorbike shop, Jack O Bike! The nearest filling station to Kyleakin is now either across the Bridge in Kyle of Lochalsh, or a 24/7 filling station 7 miles West in Broadford.
