Chelsea College: University of London

1977-1980

RagGreat days! (Some of the time). Right smack bang in the middle of the punk explosion. I still remember the first person who said "The Sex Pistols are crap".

Most of my time was in the Biology Department at Hortensia Road. If you were there you must remember the guy who talked of nothing but the common mussel in every lecture, in every course. (At least it made the examinations predictable).

Recreation wise, there was the pool table with styrene cup blocked pockets, the football table with a jammed open ball release and a juke box which constantly played "John, I'm only dancing".

I lived in Lightfoot Hall for one year in Manresa Road. A dreadful building, but excellent for throwing blobs of butter onto the "Sloanes" on Kings Road. Highlight of the year was the rag ball. Felt  more comfortable as Frankenstein, rather than as the court jester I went as the following year.

Due to semi popular demand a Frankenstein Appreciation Page

My mates were (in no particular order).. Dave Lee, Tony Tucker, Mike Buck, Denis Sullivan, Marie Tansy and Claire Taylor.

In case you didn't know Chelsea is now on the Kings web site, however I've forgotten the address.
