Below is a photograph of a Leonid Earth-Grazer. Taken with a 28mm focal length lens, the trail which the earth-grazer left on film is about two thirds the width of the 35mm slide! On this image the trail starts at the green end on the left, and the first star it encounters is a +7.4 Mag. Star(TYC 4825-803-1) in the constellation Monoceros @ RA 07h 23m 03.52s Dec -3deg. 53' 37.4".

It then passes through the Constellation Lepus, narrowly missing Orion, and finishes in an almost star-less area in the constellation Eridanus, close to the Lepus/Eridanus border - a total of over 40 degrees in length! I only just got the end of it without it being "chopped off" on the film! The brightest star,on the bottom edge of the image is Sirius (-1.44Mag.) in the constellation Canis Major.
