My husband and myself would love to purchase a labradoodle. Preferably a female, medium in size and apricot in color. We live in Washingon, Pennsylvania. I have a labradoodle, first generation, that moults profusely. She was the curliest in the litter, though none of the pups were very curly. I don't know whether this is more common than one is led to think - you certainly only hear of non- moulting ones. However I cannot fault her nature and no one in the family is allergic to her, touch wood.

Please can anyone help. I have just lost my beautiful Labradoodle, he was only two and a half years old, but he has given me the two most wonderful years of my life, his name was Forest, he was a big boy, very inteligent, almost human, and I adored him. The Vet. thinks he may have had a brain tumour, or bad Epilepsy, he was having seizures even he was on heavy medication. So I had to have him put to sleep, the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life The Vet. told this is very prevelant in Poodles, this has made me worried about getting another one at a later day when I get over Forest, if I ever will, my heart is broken. I thought of a wonderful breed that you breeders out there must consider trying, if not for the wonderful manner of the dogs in question, but for the wonderful name resulting from the crossed names. The dogs are the shitzu and the labrodoodle - resulting in a friendly mixed breed called 'shitdoodle'.

I have a 16 month old 30-33 inch tall creamy/white Labradoodle female. It is all new to me, as I never owned a Labrador before, but have been the happy owner of a few poodles. I have owned also a Bedlington and German Shepherds and Blue Healer. Bedlington died from Liver Storage Disease, the Shepherds, 1 was put down 'cause of bad hips, the other was given away while I was on holiday. The Bluey,went missing??? I have had such bad luck with my pets, and none of it my doing, so hope this Doodle will be the last good thing for me. The Vet says that a cross is healthier than a pure bred, so here is hoping.

To SONJA PARKER.....I lost two little poodles to epilepsy, - never had the money to have the test for brain tumour. Yes it is very bad in poodles, and I feel it is caused through what breeders call "Line Breeding" as they inter breed. Nothing will shift my thoughts on that. I had the last one, she was only little and she had 4 fits in the last night of her life. she too was under heavy medication the last 2 years of her life. She was only 4 when I took her to the vets for the last time. It is so hard, and I thought I would never get over her, but my daughter saw this Labradoodle and made me buy her. I have not forgotten my little girl, but this big girl keeps me busy, and I love her too. So Sonja, do please get another dog, and hopefully it won't have that problem.

Hi, i dont understand, ok breed lab to poodle get labbradoodle that in first gen looks either like a lab or poodle. Sell off the labs in litter as pets, the poodle look a likes go to be service dogs for disabled people. If pet people want a poodle why not buy a poodle? hiya i think the pups are gorgeous and i have a labradoodle called noodles and she is a girl at 2and a half years old but still as playful and energetic as a pup!!! labradoodles are the best!!!
