We are looking for a family dog (we had to put are english Lab down after getting very ill- she was 13) and we love the lab as a breed , put it would be nice not having to worry about all the shedding. A Labradoodle sounds like the perfect fit. This is a beautiful web site. I enjoyed seeing your dogs. I must agree that the labradoodle is an excellent dog. I have a mini-labradoodle who is eight months old. He is blonde and white with the greatest curled tail. He is so playful and cute. Everyone just loves him. His name is Austin and he is a 2nd generation. i drove from kansas to the south end of oklahoma to purchase my two doodles. floyd and emmett were only 6 weeks old and had definite personalities. we live on a farm and have 5 other dogs. they blended right in with the rest of the crew. took only two weeks to completely house train them and am getting ready to start their obedience training. they are wonderful dogs and make me laugh every day with their antics.

interesting to see a crossbreed or mongrel sold as a new breed, a bit like a sprolly which is an accident between a collie and a spaniel. All lovely dogs all lovely pups the only thing is they look like curly coated retrievers, I saw an ad for a border collie cross papillion the other day so thats collilions but I would hate to see the dog. Why create more mongrels.

I am on the verge of purchasing either a purebred labrador or a goldendoodle. I love the look of the goldendoodle and especially the low to non-shedding aspect! I also adore labs, as I had a lab mix for 11 years until recently when she passed away. Can anyone tell me if one of the 2 dogs is less hyper, as I worry about the hyperactiveness of a lab. Are goldenddoodles hyper too? I guess the question is to look into whether or not full size poodles and golden retrievers are hyper but I do not see anything about that on any site. Maybe that means they aren't. Also I was told goldendoodles do not need regular grooming but it seems as if the fluffy wavy hair would require more care than a labrador's coat would, right? Thanks!

Do you know of a rescue site for Labadoodles? I thought a Labadoodle would be a great companion dog for my wife who has Multiple Sclerosis. Also for me because I have minor allergies to dogs. how lovely to read about these lovely dogs, we have four standard poodles and are hoping to have a labradoodle pup in the early spring for us to train as a gundog, which our poodles are, we have just taken on a rescue six month old standard pup whose mum bit through his leg bone as she was biting through the cord, he hops occasionly but is otherwise a tremendous personality and loves being in with the brood and our rescue greyhound
