Mice make very good pets are cheap
to buy and easy to feed. They become very tame, and are
very intelligent They also have two disadvantages. Their cages have to be cleaned out very frequently as mice have a strong and unpleasant smell. Also, they must never be allowed to escape, as they are capable of breeding with wild house mice which are quite serious pests. |
| White mice are popular being
usually readily available and not expensive as some of
the more exotic breeds. They are also not so tempermental
and reasonably hardy animals. As a first mouse pet, they
are ideal. The following sections hopefully will provide some basic information on getting and looking after your pet mouse.
