| Synopsis/Review | A remake of the 1927 film of the same name. A classic "haunted house / cat & mouse" movie which sees Hope in sparkling form with the right mix of comedy and chills. He is "protecting" Paulette Goddard as the yound heiress of an old creepy house (and house maid). Many consider this film established Hope`s film career. Followed by a sequel "The Ghost Breakers". Remade again in 1978. |
