The
following day the group will go to Tulum, the only temple site situated on the
shores of the pristine Caribbean. This sacred site was the port of departure,
following purification at Xcaret, for sacred journeys to the island of Cozumel,
where the offerings to the goddess Ixchel were made. At these two feminine sites
we will make offerings to the goddess. Four is the number of stability, and
it takes four days to experience Chichen in its totality. If you have ever been
fortunate enough to spend less time there, superficially experiencing the site,
without the underlying roads of living initiation and the elucidation and experience
of the temple mysteries, you have received very little, so give all of that
up and begin afresh. During the four days at Chichen, participants may experience
depending upon our group worthiness, preparation, humility, patience and intent
....... the true meaning of the Celestial Ball Court, the first level initiation
at Jaguar House, the experience of the Heart of the Pyramid of the Feathered
Serpent Kukulkan, the death of self transformations at Tzompantli, the first
level initiation at the Temple of the Warriors, and the entrance to the first
level initiation at the Pyramid of Kukulkan-Quetzalcoatl, the Celestial Serpent.
In addition we will spend time at the sacred pool of Chac, the astronomical
observatory, and in old Chichen, which was occupied a full five to six hundred
years prior to the arrival of the Toltecs. There we will experience the original
Mayan energy. Prior to entering the experiences at Chichen each day and the
Dreaming of each night, a purification is required. These will be conducted
at the original sites for such offerings, such as the cave of the Jaguar Serpent
Balankanche and the sacred baptismal well of Dtiznup. The village where we will
stay while at Chichen is still a partially Mayan town that was actually part
of Chichen proper, before the formation of the archaeological zone, and there
is a burial mound on the premises of our small hotel. Free time has been scheduled
in to allow for experiencing the local energies of this town, Piste, its people,
shopping and food, and for enjoying the paradise of private beach at the other
location, the Bay of Akumal, where we will stay over several nights at the beginning
of our journey.
