No place on earth but Chichen Itza embodies the climax of wisdom and energy practices of the Toltec-Maya. Chichen Itza is the apex of the marriage between the Toltec and the Maya, where the whole became greater than the sum of the parts, where the knowledge, initiations and energetic realisations, exceed this realm and are geometrically housed within awakened, living temples of stone. Following celestial omens, a journey to Chichen will be offered, as this is the only place in the world where seekers may experience the authentic, awesome totality of the Toltec-Maya initiatory cosmos and see these energies, housed within their encoded temple structures, with their very own eyes. Those who accept the invitation to make this journey will be required to comply with a most stringent purification, offering up all of the non-essentials of their lives, in the hopes of being empty enough to receive even a minute portion of the wonders that await. The Yucatan peninsula is a celestial land, honeycombed ancient white limestone, flowing with sacred underground rivers, and with the authentic living descendants of the Toltec-Maya, the Itzaes, who still occupy parts of the land all the way to the jungles of Tikal, Guatemala. The embodiment of risen Serpent energy, one of the key transformational essences honoured in their practices, is manifest for the Toltec-Maya as Kukulkan Quetzalcoatl, the Celestial Rainbow or Feathered Serpent, and harmonises beautifully with the risen Kundalini Serpent energy of the Yogic tradition. Having witnessed the gracious and sacred reception of local Maya to the sincere traditional honouring of Serpent energy, additional omens of exchanging and combining heart felt gestures and gifts between Kundalini Yoga and traditional Toltec-Mayan practices came forth. The temple sites we will visit manifest the global synergy of heightened awareness ever present within our most evolved wisdom traditions, elevating, purifying and celebrating our living existence as energetic beings. The sequence of auspicious omens, signs, dreams and communications from heightened awareness, signalled a request and an invitation from Energy itself to introduce, weave and coalesce two authentic lineages of Serpent Power into a unity of spiritual elevation and heart healing. Toltec-Mayan practices work within a state of lucidity known as awakened dreaming, during which offerings are made. Kundalini yoga and meditation require only your active participation and a sincere intent to align the subtle, mental and physical bodies on a sacred journey to honour and to receive an energetic transmission from Mata Shakti, the feminine Serpent power, also known as Ixchel for the Toltec-Maya. Our Kundalini experience will encompass early morning practice for clarity, for purification, to cultivate emptiness and to establish a collective unity of intent. Specific kriyas (kriya means Ścompleted actioną) will resonate with the energies of the sites and temples we shall encounter and will include Heart Healing circles, the Shining Skull Kriya, Brahm Mudra - meditation to See, the Thunderbolt, Holding Counsel - establishing rhythm in the neutral mind, Erasing the Akashic Record, Realising the Angelic Self and the Kriya of the Serpent. The Toltec-Mayan practices will include instruction in Dreaming and the Mesa altar offerings, rites of purification: Limpias (energetic cleansings), Fire Breath (a Serpent energy circulation breath) and a traditional Temazcal (a Toltec-Mayan sweat lodge), pilgrimage along the sacred road of transformation and entry level Dreaming practices which open one to the energetic inner temple mysteries.
