Note that there are no Sherman I (M4) and very few Sherman II (M4A1) at this date, the majority of Shermans being Sherman III (M4A2).
A footnote to the report queries whether the figures for 4th Armoured Brigade and 23rd Armoured Brigade have been transposed. I'm not sure that is the case because 4th Armoured Brigade were operational in Italy and would have been fully equipped. There is also photographic evidence that 4th Armd Bde had both Sherman II and III in September 1944, which is consistent with the return (see the old Tanks Illustrated No 20 Allied Tanks Italy pp 6-8).
There are also very few Grants left after the Desert campaign, but substantial deliveries of new equipment are in transit. At this time only one squadron of 'T' Scorpion Regiment (ex 41 RTR) was equipped with Scorpions and were in Sicily, moving to Taranto at the end of the month.

No notes as when it comes to Armoured Cars I haven't a clue!
