If an ancestor of yours served in the British Armed Forces and you would like to find out more then this may be the just the service you have been looking for. Whether they served in wars and Campaigns from Waterloo to the Korean War. Details of literally Millions of Military personnel's records of service, pension records, Muster rolls, entitlements to Campaign and Gallantry awards as well as records of the battles and actions they participated in are available.

If you would like to know more about their experiences I have access to records written at the time. These can be in the form of unit War Diaries for the Army, Operational reports for the Royal and Merchant Navies, and Squadron operational records for the RFC and RAF. These cover the period of the Two World Wars, and in some cases earlier and later conflicts.


All searches are conducted at the Public Record Office in Kew, by me personally and never contracted out to a third party. I have 25 years research experience in Military record research. I am a keen collector of British Campaign and Gallantry medals, and have visited several of the battlefields of Europe, including The Somme, Ypres, Arras, Normandy and Arnhem. From an early age my interest in military and naval history led me to source further information on the people involved in conflict. At the age of 16 I corresponded with many veterans of the Great War to gain details of personal experience.

The pages on this site give some details of the searches I can conduct into invividuals service, medals and operations in which they were involved. The research listed is by no means all the records I can consult. There are just too many different avenues for research to list. Please ask for advise if you are unsure.

My hourly fee for research is £15.00, however in many cases I can quote a set fee. I can accept payment by Sterling cheque or Draft, direct transfer to my business account or a personal cheque in most major currencies with a small additional fee to cover my conversion charges.
