The rich heritage of historic Stirling is to be explored in its narrow wynds and steep streets. The property is situated nearby the castle which played a significant part in the history of Scotland. A short stroll downhill leads takes you to the town centre, where you will find all the shops, pubs, restaurants, cinema and theatres to make your stay both interesting and enjoyable.
Stirling's central location is superb for ease of access to both historic and modern Scotland. The highland scenic splendour of the Trossachs and Rob Roy country are an easy day's outing, as are Edinburgh and the coastal villages of Fife, including St Andrews.

Things to do all year ........ Paradoxically,
Scotland's newest city is also one of its most historic. Seven battle scenes
can be seen from the Castle ramparts. Visit William
Wallace's Monument, Bannockburn Heritage Centre, Stirling Castle,
the Old Town, The Tolbooth, and Stirling Old Town Jail.
Walking. There are interesting walks and
paths to be found around Stirling, Bridge of Alan, Doune and
Dunblane, and many excellent walks in the Campsie Fells,
where amidst rolling hills you can stop at quiet country inns in pretty villages, and
parish churches in gentle valleys, go up Dollar Glen to Castle Campbell. Golf. There are various
courses to challenge the golfer. Also, try putting in the shadow of Stirling Castle, or practise your strokes at Brucefields
Family Golf Centre. Shopping. The city has everything
you would expect from Department Stores to Boutiques. Arts & Crafts.

Centre at Stirling University offers many theatrical occasions. Indoor
Sports. Visit the swimming pool or the ice rink. Surrounding villages are
worth a visit, Fintry, Buchlyvie, Gargunnock, Kippen and Balfron are pretty and flower
filled, and the Glengoyne Distillery offers guided tourst and
tastings. Cycling. The Ochil Hills and The Trossachs have a

extensive network of cycleways, and canal paths in nearby Clackmannanshire offer cyclists
and walkers interesting routes to explore. Theatres and Cinemas. There is a
cinema and two theatres in Stirling, and another in nearby Stirling University.
Miscellany. For a day's outing the nearby Falkirk Wheel is the world's biggest and only rotating boat lift,
and this astonishing structure raises or lowers a boat through over 100ft. Take a
trip on SS Sir Walter Scott as it steams up and down Loch Katrine to visit Inchmahome Priory
on the Lake of Monteith. Loch
Earn has sailing, water skiing, canoeing and kayaking
with rentals and lessons available. Blair Drummond Safari Park
