Braised Garlic & Cream Cheese

Braised garlic is one of the best treats. Before squeezing the garlic onto the bread it is worth putting a cheese spread on first:

Cream Cheese Spread
8 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon fresh marjoram
2 teaspoons fresh dill
black pepper to taste

Braised Garlic Take a few whole garlics, remove the papery coverings and snug them into a small container that can be covered. Pour in an equal mixture of melted butter and olive oil. Then sprinkle some fresh thyme on top. Cover and bake in a moderate oven for about an hour or until the garlic becomes squishy.

Put the cheese and garlic on thin slices of browned French bread and eat.
