Possibly The Daftest Precogniscence Game In The Known Universe

You need:
  • a TV - one that works and has stations to pick up
  • preferably somewhere comfortable to park your arse
  • hashish, beer, whatever depressants of that sort you favour

You need to be in a relaxed state for this to work. Just before going to bed after having been up all night is good. It's more fun if you have company, because then you (a) have someone to help you keep track and (b) have someone to astound with your amazing psychic talents.
    Well, I can dream, can't I?

This is entirely based on trusting what your instincts are telling you, and ingoring whatever calculating thoughts your concious mind may be having. You may find it useful to keep written records, if you want to do this as a serious experiment [cough], as opposed to a fun passtime for the intoxicated.

Game #1 - Predict the Teletubbies
This is what inspired this concept in gaming in the first place. I appear to possess one of the world's more futile precognitive talents. I can, about 8 out of 10 times, predict which Teletubby will pop up from behind the hills at the end of the programme.
For those heretics who would argue about the skill this takes, there is no apparent pattern in which one pops up that we can find either during the programme, in what they say before going behind the hills, or based on which one popped up in previous episodes.
As for all of these games, trust your instincts. The flash of inspiration telling you who the chosen Tubby will be can come at any time. Shout it out before you think about it further. Make bets. Eat some popcorn. And if you're wrong, there's always tomorrow's episode.
You can also have a go at predicting which Tubby will get to show the video clip on it's screen.
There is no skill in predicting which one pops it's head out of the hole at the very end though.

    Game #2 - Game Shows
Really inane ones. The best for this sort of thing are the pitiful Saturday morning kids TV continuity things (such as SMTV:Live and Diggit, for those of you who live in the UK).
And we're not talking about conventional game shows here either. What we are talking about are kids TV phone-in guessing games.
For instance, and I know this will make no sense to most people reading it, there is a show called SMTV:Live, hosted by a pair of dubious northern characters called Ant and Dec.
Now, they have recently started doing a game called "All Hands on Dec", where Dec stands behind a board on which some hands are painted, which is quickly wheeled past the cameras.
You, and the thousands of kiddies gibbering on the end of phone lines across the country, have to guess how many hands there are on the board.

    Game #3 - Game Shows 2
Try to predict or affect supposedly random events in a show. For example, where the pointer goes on the wheel of fortune (is that still going, even?)
