Broken Sword 1: Shadow of the Templars
This solution is divided by the countries our hero, George Stobbart, travels to.
Always ask about all topics of conversation (in the lower bar) as many times as possible. You can also ask about objects you've picked up (in the upper bar). You can only ask about these a few times before getting a standard response.
NOTE: Most conversations cannot be repeated, and no record of them is kept. Pay attention to what is said.
There are very few life-threatening situations available - most of the time, George exercises common sense of his own accord. There are, however, a few potentially fatal courses of action. I've noted when these occur.
I've included all the main actions necessary to finish the game, and a few of the more amusing uncessary ones. To get the most out of the game, you should explore every possible course of action.

Talk to Nico about your trip (if you left the tap on while wetting the towel in Ireland, you have an additional amusing anecdote to relate).
Leave her flat.
Go to the museum.
Talk to Lobinau. Ask about:
Manuscripts
Irish Picture
Montfaucon
Knights Templar (the cross)
Gem
Matchbook
Nico
Leave.
Go to the police station.
Talk to Moue. Ask him about:
Marquet
Ask to talk to Rossao
Ask Rossau about:
Marquet
Peagram
Flap and Guido (thugs)
Gem (not necessary, but reasonably interesting)
The Templars (this subject of conversation will end with Rossau storming off - don't worry about it)
You can phone Nico at this point, if you like.
By now, there will be a couple of new places on your map screen: the hospital (which Rossau tells you about) and Montfaucon (which Lobineu told you about).
Go to Montfaucon.
Talk to the j'endarme at the cafe. Ask him about:

Himself
Gem (amusing, but not necessary)
Photo (also unecessary, but entertaining)
Read the sign on the wall to your right. There's a manhole here, but you can't open it with the j'endarme watching.
Climb the steps near the right of the screen.
In the church, look at the pews, tombs, stained glass window and statue. Operate the statue's scroll.
Leave the church, and the area, to get to the map screen.
Go to the hospital.
Look at and search the ambulance.
Enter the hospital.
Talk to the young doctor. He's named Bunny, of all things. Ask him about:
Marquet
Buzzer (for a laugh)
Talk to the receptionist. Ask her about:
Clown
Thugs
Marquet
ID pass (she'll tell you where to find Marquet)
Nurse Grendel
You can talk to the older Doctor who will have turned up, but it's not necessary at the moment.
You will have recieved from the receptionist a long list of directions to the ward Marquet is in, but don't worry about noting them down. To find Marquet, just take the left hand corridor leading off the reception area - rhe right hand one just takes you back to where you started.
You'll get to a hallway, where there is a janitor cleaning.
Operate the water cooler.
Look at the janitor, and at his machine.
Talk to the janitor. Ask him about:

His floor polisher ("Mr. Shiny")
Thugs
Nurse Grendel
Matchbook (for amusement value)
Go through the bottom left hand doorway. You'll find yourself in the ward. Talk to Nurse Grendel. Ask about:
Marquet
Clown
She'll tell you to can't visit Marquet. When you say goodbye to her, you'll return to the hallway with the janitor.
Now you have to commit what seems at first an act of wanton cruelty. Unplug Mr. Shiny (the floor polisher). The plug is next to the water cooler. The janitor will go to plug Mr. Shiny back in. While he's on his way back, operate the cupboard.
Go back to ward J-2, where you can now impersonate a doctor.
Ask Croquet (patient in the second bed) about Marquet.
Go to the far right. The patient in the 3rd bed will stop you. Leave the ward and go to reception. Talk to the older doctor. After the conversation is over, Bunny will follow you. Go to ward J-2.
Talk to Sopmarsh (patient in the third bed) blood pressure guage. Talk to Bunny about BP guage. Tell Bunny to take Sopmarsh's blood pressure. Go to the far right.
Talk to the cop guarding the door. Ask him about:
Marquet
Thugs
Now go through the door, and talk to Marquet, and see what happens.
You'll find yourself back at Nico's apartment. Talk to her about:
Templars
Marquet
Hashashin
Go to the museum.
The guard will talk to you about ghosts and closing time.
Talk to Andre. Ask about:
Hashashin
Philip le Bel (king)
Tripod
Go back to the Rue Jarry and talk to the Flower Seller. Ask her about Nico.
Go up to Nico's place. Tell her about the Hashashin and show her the matchbook again.
Go back to the museum.
The the guard is facing away from you, operate the opening mechanism of the windown. While the guard deals with that, operate the sarcophagus.
When the Thugs appear, operate the totem pole.
Back at Nico's place, all will be explained.
Go to the museum.
For a laugh, you can talk to the guard, ask him about, and then show him the Tripod.
Talk to Andre and ask him about the manuscript. He'll tell you about the knight being Spanish.
Leave, and go to the airport, where you will now be able to go to Spain.
