Cheats for Commander Keen 1 - Invasion of the Vorticons.
The Story
Billy Blaze is an eight years old kid. When his parents are not at home, he sneaks to his workshop and builds a MEGAROCKET of pots, pans and rubber. He changes his name to Commander Keen to save the earth. The Vorticons hear about this and plan to destroy Keen. Keen travels to Mars and at the same time the Vorticons steal 4 items from keens ship :
  • Joystick
  • Car Battery
  • Vacuum cleaner
  • Everclear Keen must retrieve these items and battle against the Vorticons !

    USEFUL NOTES
  • The POGO enables Keen to jump at high places. Find it in one of the secret rooms.
  • In the Game there are a lot of clues written in galactic alphabet. The file Alphabet.exe shows a list...
  • Sometimes you find a sigh like 'HI' in galactic alphabet. This means objects are high above the ground.
  • There are 4 keycards. Each has its own colour. You need them to open doors.

    The Cheat-keys
  • Press [C] [T] and [SPACE] together to get 100 ray gun charges, items and a pogo stick.
  • [F8]: Something strange happens.
  • Hold down [G] [O] [D] to walk through enemies and jump higher.

    If you add NOWAIT to the command line in DOS you can get various goodies. Just press F10 with one of the following keys:
    W - level warp
    E - restart
    T - sprite test
    Y - mess up sprites
    I - free goodies
    S - toggle slow motion
    D - record demo
    G - toggle god mode
    J - toggle jump cheat
    C - stats
    V - at VLB’s
    N - toggle clipping
    M - memory usage

    The Story
    The Vorticons Plan to destroy the earth with their spaceship. Keen sneaks abort and must find a way to destroy the ships. But their are many Vorticons, traps and dangerous places, so keen needs all the Guns he can find !

    Cheats for Commander Keen 3 - Keen Must DIE!
     The Story
    After Commander Keen has destroyed the Vorticon spaceship, he decides to destroy all the Vorticons for once and all. He travels to VORTICON VI, but the Vorticons are waiting for him. The build a large army to stop Keen with only 1 thing in mind: 'Keen MUST DIE!'

    USEFUL NOTES
  • The game is almost the same than the first 2 sequels, so this cheat is useful for all 3 sequels.
  • The POGO enables Keen to jump at high places. You already have it, so you don’t have to look for it.
  • Some creatures can’t harm you, like the yellow fuzzball ! so don’t waste your ammo on them !

    Cheats for Commander Keen 4 - The Secret Of The Oracle
    The Story Billy Blaze is in his dad’s workshop playing with a radio when he receives a secret message from the SHIKADI. It seems that those weird creatures are planning to conquer the Galaxy. Billy takes his Football helmet en transforms in Commander Keen. He steps in his rocket and travels to GNOSTICUS IV. That planet is inhabited by the Guardians of the Oracle. They own him a favour so he wants their help. When he arrives he finds a COUNCIL PAGE, which tells Keen that the 8 HIGH COUNCIL members are kidnapped and taken to the SHADOWLANDS. The council members are the only ones able to activate the oracle, so the SHIKADI put them under good protection by weird creatures. Keen decides to save the 8 council members and to stop the SHIKADI`s plans.

    USEFUL NOTES
  • Collect NEURAL STUNNERS...if you don’t you will run out of ammo !
  • Collect the GEMS to open the doors. Each GEM has his own colour which corresponds with the colour of the slot at the door.
  • To get an EXTRA life, just collect the LIFEWATER FLASKS.
  • Don’t shoot the red Bouncers. Sometimes you need their help to reach high places in the field. Just step onto them en jump.
  • One of the most dangerous creatures is the DOPEFISH. To defeat him, just collect as many as possible of SCHOOLFISH and try to pass him. You can’t shoot at him.
  • Doughnuts, ice creams and Jawbreakers give you a lot of points !
  • The MAD MUSHROOM is another dangerous creature. Try to pass him, but do NOT touch him !!
  • In some fields PRINCESS LINDSEY is hidden behind a tree, just jump at tree. When the princess is hidden in that tree, she will give you some useful information.
  • In MIRAGIA (in the desert) a SWIMMING SUIT is hidden. Try to collect that item. You need that one to swim in the water!
  • There are a lot of hidden places. It ain’t difficult to find them because they are hidden at places where you expect THEM !

    Cheat Keys
    The cheat-modes are used by pressing the Function-key and a normal key at the same time. This is the FULL list of all the cheat-codes (I hope) Run the Game with K4.EXE -NOWAIT
    F10 and P : This is used to pause the game.
    F10 and S : To slow down the game. There are 2 speeds.
    F10 and E : ends the current Level when you find that one to difficult.
    F10 and Y : Shows all secret rooms in the field.
    F10 and W : WARP-mode, go to a different level.
    F10 and T : Gives information about the sprites of commander Keen.
    F10 and I : Gives extra points, GEMS, guns and lives in a random order
    . F10 and D : Play a demo of a level of your choice. NICE !
    F10 and G : Activates the GOD-mode. You become Immortal.
    F10 and J : This is the JUMP-mode. Jump to the sky with 1 jump.
    F10 and N : NO CLIPPING, walk through walls and floors. This can be useful, but sometimes causes it you own death. With no clipping the floors will fade away and maybe there’s some LAVA under the floor !
    F10 and C : Nice mode... It shows how many creatures you have killed and how many remain.
    F10 and V : This gives you 1 to 8 extra VBL`s.
    F10 and B : Changes the border colour.
    F10 and M : Gives information about the used and available memory.
    F9: Anti-Boss-mode, this one simulates the DOS-prompt. To return press ESCAPE.
    F1: Information about the game and the story.
    F2 to F7 : Back to the Main menu with save and restore commands.

    Cheat for Commander Keen 5 - The ARMAGEDDON MACHINE
    The Story
    After BILLY BLAZE (alias Commander KEEN) wiped out the SHIKADI on the SHADOWLANDs the COUNCIL MEMBERS, who were rescued by Keen, activated the ORACLE. This oracles reveals that the SHIKADI almost conquered the GALAXY with the help of there secret weapon: THE OMEGAMETIC. Keen sneaks on board of this machine with his megarocket. There he takes on the SHIKADI and there allies. You mission is to destroy the OMEGAMETRIC.

    USEFUL NOTES
  • Collect NEURAL STUNNERS...if you don’t you will run out of ammo !
  • Collect the GEMS to open the doors. Each GEM has his own colour which corresponds with the colour of the slot at the door.
  • When you find a KEG, you receive an extra life.
  • Another way to get an extra life is to collect 100 bottles.
  • Watch out for the SPHEREFUL and the SHIKADI MASTER, they are nasty !
  • Sugar stoopies, tart stix and bags `o sugar gives a lot of points.
  • Keep looking for secret passages or use the CHEAT.
  • In this episodes Keycards are added, find them to open security doors.
  • To jump down a platform, press the DOWN-ARROW and the Jump-key.

    Cheat for Commander Keen 6 - Aliens Ate My Babysitter
    The Story
    When Billy Blaze`s parents are away he gets a babysitter. After a while his babysitter is kidnapped by the BLOOGs. It seems that the evil Dr.Mirmack is the brother of MOLLY the babysitter. He ordered the BLOOGs to kidnap his own sister and promised the giant SANDWICH to the Bloogs. Commander Keen takes on the BLOOGs and travels to the BOLLG-planet known as : FRIBBULUS XAX. He wipes out all the BLOOGS on the planet and destroys the BLOOGs factories. Keen continues to a moonbase where Molly is held.

    USEFUL NOTES
  • This is the First APOGEE with a copy-protection. At the start you must name a creature. The Data in this file is NOT to be used to ABUSE this protection !
  • In this game APOGEE added a lot of switches. Each switch controls an elevator or a laser field. Activate the switches by jumping on them.
  • To complete the game 3 items must be purchased.
  • To climb the rocks, you need a grabbing hook and a rope, you find them in the bloogton factory.
  • A GIANT sandwich and an alphabet-book can be find in another factory. You need the sandwich to pass a strange creature. Which falls asleep after he ate the sandwich.
  • To enter the BLOOGSTAR-rocket you must find a keycard.
  • It’s possible to skip parts of the levels, but don’t do this until you find the ITEMS.
  • Sometimes there are more gems then needed. You can save them for another level. Some Gems are held by the BLOOGLETs. Kill them and you find the GEMS.
  • Some items gives extra points or lives : 100 Bottles
    200 Chocolate Ice creams
    500 Small Glasses of ice cream.
    1000 Large glasses of ice cream
    2000 Big sorbets
    5000 Pizzas
  • In the air you can find strange creatures. 100 little creatures add 1 Keen. Sometimes you can find a Large creature with wings. Each of these gives 1 extra life.

    THE BLOOGA
    BLOOG : Normal BLOOG, green. It requires 1 shot.
    BLOOGUARD : Another green BLOOG, with a club. 3 shots required.
    BLOOGLET : A small BLOOG. It can’t kill you. 1 shot is enough to destroy it. Sometimes they carry a GEM.(there are BLOOGLETs in 4 colours).
    BABOBBA : A foot-shaped red creature.
    BOBBA : Another BABOBBA, but much bigger.
    CEILICK: Purple creature which lives inside the wall, when you see a tongue, you know what to expect !
    GIK : A yellow, rock-like creature which jumps with a salto-mortale.
    FLECT : Yellow creature with gigantic teeth.
    BIP : flat yellow creature with a small head.
    VIVA : Small creatures with big eyes.

    THE BLOOGS (hard level) The same creatures of the easy level added with :
    NOSPIKE : A blue-grey potato creature with a large horn on its head.
    ORBATRIX : Blue Eye with wings.
    FLEEX : Large blue/grey creature with a big ear on its head.
    BLORB : Red creature, which looks like a pudding.

    Keen Dreams
    The built-in cheat mode.
    Once you've loaded the game, use any of the following cheat keys to boost your performance:
    F10 and G to enter GOD mode.
    F10 and I to gain FREE ITEMS.
    F10 and J to gain a JUMP cheat.
    F10 and S to go into SLOW mode.
    F10 and W to WARP to any LEVEL.
