Entity Magick
God-forms, also refered to as entites, are generally assumed to be incorporeal (from our point of veiw at any rate) beings which appear to posses independent intelligence, conciousness, and are usually attributed with the ability to influence what we percieve as reality and/or to give us information. These include angels, demons, and gods of all types.
I tend to be of the opinion that some entities may be independant beings which possibly occupy a slightly different frame of space and time, while others seem to be created by someone inventing them and then believing in them. The 'invented' entites may just be existing god-forms conforming to an image someone has created, or they may be entirely new god-forms, which can attain independace through the strength of their followers' belief.
Many magicians believe that the god-forms are merely our minds attempting to impose some form of order on an essentially chaotic universe, and that when we call upon an entity we are merely calling upon the power of our own subconcious minds. There are almost as many theories on the nature of god-forms as there are magickal practitions. Personally, I've found that treating them as independant intelligences works very efficiently for me, so generally regard them and refer to them as such.
